“like a kite in the wind, drawn whichever way the magic takes her…”
Meet Holly
“The Kite”
Holly is a master of diverse creativity. From writing screen plays to original musical scores, orchestrating productions to a directorial design vision. Holly’s skills span across a vast variety of artistic and creative mediums.
Fondly nicknamed “The Kite” Holly is the dreamer and the unhinged ambition of the directorial team. Ever striving higher, brighter, bolder and bigger.
Having been diagnosed with Synesthesia as a child and later in life AuDHD, Holly is passionate about exploring the realms of culture, work, education and motherhood that are affected by neurodiversity.
Holly studied musical theatre at the Mountview Academy of Performing arts in London alongside west end royalty such as Laura Pick, Bronte Barbe, Emma Kingston and Scott Paige.
Holly’s has performed professionally for over twenty years, having her first professional acting job at the age of sixteen.
Holly has also been facilitating creative education for over fifteen years and has always dreamed of making the arts a viable, sustainable and accessible industry for those she works alongside.
Ethos & Vision
Throughout her training and career Holly has always found similarities in artistic practice and practices with more soulful applications. Bringing both knowledge of a vast array of practical performance and coaching techniques Holly also draws from her experiences and training in connective practice, breath work, yoga, fitness and mindfulness.
Holly is a firm believer in culture and the arts being the centre-point of community. To quote Winston Churchill amidst the briefings during WW2 - “What are we fighting for?” - if not culture, art, humanity.
Using practices from across the board Holly is proud and passionate about her brainchild class series “The Actors Church” and its tag line “How to human”.
Unlearning habits that hold us back, embracing our bodies, voices and souls and connecting with the world around us like children - The Actors Church is a celebration of all that it is to be human and invites you to free yourself from the chains we wear in the world that limits us.
Holly applies these techniques to all of her students in a gentle and age appropriate way, guiding exploration and learning, encouraging an open mind and helping ease the transition into release.
Holly has been teaching for over fifteen years and specialises in voice and singing as well as advanced acting, dance and musical theatre performance, directing, piano, composition and connectivity.
Her students have a 100% pass rate with merit or distinction in ABRSM, Trinity and PAA exam grades.
Holly's sessions have been genuinely transformational, helping me unlock so much on both a personal and creative level. Her classes exposed my fears and supported me to overcome them, instilling a core of self belief and playfulness that have driven me to deliver my best work as a performer and writer.
