Welcome to

The Stage Door

The Stage Door SA is a not-for-profit organisation grounded in the belief that creativity is a powerful catalyst for connection, empowerment, and social change.
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality performing arts training, creative education programmes, and community-led projects for children, young people and adults. Our Sunday film and theatre school provides accessible, inclusive opportunities for young people to explore theatre, performance, creativity, and self-expression in a supportive environment. We work with children and families across Shropshire and beyond, offering structured creative training that builds confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of the arts—regardless of background or experience.

Our mission is to support individuals and communities across Shropshire and beyond by delivering inclusive programmes, training opportunities, and community-led creative projects that enable people to develop skills, confidence, and meaningful pathways forward.

At the heart of our work is our commitment to people and our community. Through our creative programmes and training academy, we provide accessible education, mentorship, and practical support for individuals at all stages of their creative journey—particularly those who are marginalised, underserved, or face barriers to participation. Our work is designed to nurture talent, encourage collaboration, and empower individuals to use creativity as a tool for personal growth, wellbeing, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our training academy offers structured learning, skills development, and business support for emerging creatives, equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to transform ideas into viable opportunities. Alongside this, our community projects are co-created with local groups, schools, and grassroots organisations, ensuring that our work is responsive, relevant, and rooted in real community needs.

Through workshops, educational programmes, collaborative initiatives, and public events, The Stage Door SA fosters environments where people can connect, learn, and create together. These initiatives break down barriers to access, promote inclusion, and build a strong sense of belonging—allowing creativity to flourish across diverse communities.

At The Stage Door SA, we are building more than projects—we are building capacity, resilience, and opportunity. Through shared learning, creative collaboration, and purposeful action, we support communities to thrive and empower individuals to shape their futures with imagination and confidence.
